Designed to not look templated
A bespoke design system, deep operations green on cool porcelain with a single signal accent, evidence tables instead of stat cards, and a hard ban on gradients, glass effects, stock photography, and icon card grids.

Case study - Executive portfolio site
The founder’s executive portfolio site, rebuilt from scratch as a working demonstration of how Cask & Hound builds now: AI-assisted, modern stack, search and AI-answer ready.
mjaggers.com is the personal portfolio site of Cask & Hound founder Mark Jaggers. Cask & Hound rebuilt it end to end in October 2026, brief to live in a single day: new design, content from his current resume, and a modern stack, with SEO, GEO, and AEO structured in from the start rather than bolted on after launch.

From brief to live site
Routes: home, resume, Webpulse case study
Pre-launch passes: critique, audit, polish
Self-hosted images, no hotlinked assets
01 - Overview
The old site was a static portfolio that no longer matched the founder’s current positioning, and it said nothing about how he builds now: AI-assisted, on a modern stack, ready for search and AI answers.
A ground-up rebuild: new design system, content rewritten from the current resume, answer-first copy, structured data throughout, and a contact flow that exposes no email address or phone number.
Cask & Hound wrote the brief, the art direction, and the copy, then directed the AI-assisted build in Lovable through critique, audit, and polish passes before launch.
02 - What went into it
A portfolio site is a small build with nowhere to hide, which makes it a fair test of the process.
A bespoke design system, deep operations green on cool porcelain with a single signal accent, evidence tables instead of stat cards, and a hard ban on gradients, glass effects, stock photography, and icon card grids.

The resume is a real route, not just a PDF: readable on any screen, printable with dedicated print styles, with the downloadable PDF kept identical to the document recruiters already have.

The Webpulse case study page carries the real dashboard screenshots and the numbers behind them, so the portfolio shows the work instead of describing it.

Unique titles and descriptions per route, a canonical apex domain, Person, ProfilePage, and FAQ structured data, a factual llms.txt, and section openings written to answer questions directly, so search engines and AI assistants can cite the site accurately.
03 - Technical
Designed and built with Lovable under human direction, code in GitHub, deployed on Hostinger as a Node web app with automatic deploys.
